Equipment Checkout
The PAT department has an extensive collection of equipment that is available for reservation and checkout by students, staff, and faculty
Students, faculty, and staff can check out equipment through the SMTD equipment checkout system.
Who can check out Tech Suite equipment?
PAT majors and students enrolled in PAT classes
May check out equipment exclusively in relation to course work, the preparation or performance of department-sanctioned recitals, department-sanctioned events, or department-sanctioned research. Checking out gear for personal use is strictly prohibited without prior permission from the PAT Studio Coordinator or PAT faculty. You must complete a training to gain access to the Tech Suite checkout inventory.
PAT Staff and Faculty
May check out gear at any time for any purpose. However this must always be done through the equipment checkout.
SMTD and greater University of Michigan staff and faculty
May request to check out equipment on the helpdesk.
How do I check out equipment?
You must read, understand, and agree to all equipment checkout policies prior to checking out any gear.
Reserving Equipment
You can reserve equipment through the checkout system to pick up at a later date during checkout hours. Just come down to the Tech Suite lobby to pick your equipment up.
In-person Checkout
You can come and request equipment in-person during checkout hours. Just come down to the Tech Suite lobby to request and pick up equipment.
Where is the checkout depot?
Level L2 near to BAM organ recital hall. If you are in front of the Tech Suite, continue down the hallway and down the stairs. Next to the stairs is the checkout depot.
