Hosting performances, recording sessions, and events
Policy
PAT Studio Coordinator must be notified of your session/production/event
The Studio Coordinator must know the date of your session/production/event along with your scheduled setup and breakdown times.Proposals with multiple different dates/groups/acts with differing technical requirements should submit a separate Tech Rider for each.
For example: If you are hosting a production with multiple acts with differing technical requirements, each act should have its own tech riderOnly submit one proposal per session/production/event
The proposal form is handled through the Tech Suite helpdesk and allows you to update it after you submit it. You can also include multiple people on the helpdesk ticket.Tech Riders must be approved prior to your production
This prevents unrealistic, unsafe, or poorly thought out showsLighting design is required for all performances in the Davis Studio
If you don't have a lighting designer, the Studio Coordinator will act as your lighting designer. You are still in charge of setting up your show
The Studio Coordinator will assist with setup of your show, however it will not happen magically. Please arrive early to help set up your performance. Stay late to assist with strike. Anticipate you and your team/performers will be the last ones out of the venue.

Tech Rider
Professional venues require technical riders, and we are no different. All tech riders must be approved by the PAT Studio Coordinator. A template has been provided for your convenience.
Remember this isn't about the design of your show, it is about the literal technical needs of the performance. If you need something like lighting design for your performance, you should set up a meeting with the Technical Director of PAT.
Below are things you can include in your tech rider:
Title of performance
Length of performance
Desired date and time of performance
Technician contact(s)
Number of performers
Number of crew members

Speakers (this includes monitoring speakers)
Mixing console with channel quantity requirements
Lighting console with any requirements beyond the venue rep plot
Out board gear
Back line gear
Mics

Etc...
